Port of Subic Post Record Collections Anew
SUBIC Customs almost doubled its target for the month of April as it continues to post unprecedented records in revenue collection in the history of the Freeport.
“Our monthly collections since January this year have always been over one (1) Billion pesos,” Arnulfo J. Marcos, Port of Subic District Collector told mediamen at the Freeport Media Forum at The Aristocrat Restaurant, Subic last week.
Marcos said the Port of Subic collected for the government a total of P5.026 B for the first 4 months, way over its collection target of of P2.237 B.
“The oil sector remains the biggest source of income, comprising 77% of the April collection total, at P1.111 B.
Marcos, along with Lt. Paul Oandasan, commander of Subic Customs ESS, were guests of the Freeport Media Forum, a bi-monthly activity of the Samahan ng Mamamahayag sa Subic Bay Freeport (SMSBF), Olongapo, Zambales at Bataan, in partnership with The Aristocrat Restaurant and Subic Homes. (VVV)
