RTWB Central Luzon Awarded the Top Prize to GrainPro Philippines, Inc. in the 2021 National Productivity Olympics
Subic Bay Freeport Zone — The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board Central Luzon announced and awarded today the finalist and the top prize winner of the 2021 National Productivity Olympics at Mansion Garden Hotel, Subic Bay Freeport Zone.
GrainPro Philippines, Inc., a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) company located in SBFZ bagged the Top Prize award for the agribusiness sector category on the 2021 National Productivity Olympics. They are awarded with a trophy of recognition and Php 150,000,000.00 cash prize by DOLE Zambales Provincial Director Reynante Lugtu, DTI Zambales Provincial Director Enrique Tacbad, Olongapo PESO Manager Mario Esquillo and SBMA Labor Department Manager Atty. Melvin Varias.
The National Productivity Olympics is done every two years as a competition between MSMEs all over the Philippines to benchmark their different successful productivity program practices.
Grainpro won the prize for its remarkable demonstration of their resilience during the time of pandemic, how they managed to preserved employment and the implementation of employee engagement program in their workforce. The President and CEO, Mr. Patrick Plijter, received the award with his team. He gave a speech and ended it by highlighting that “The main reason we won this prize is because we take care of our employees and in return, they take care of us.”
Boba Time Food Corner, an MSME in Olongapo, Zambales was also recognized and awarded with a trophy and cash prize for being a finalist on the service sector category.
