Donning of Ranks and Recognition of Reservist Personnel
The donning of ranks ceremony was graced by COL ROBERT B. SARMIENTO, Group Commander, 3RCDG, ARESCOM as Keynote Speaker and participated by Reserve Enlisted Personnel. Headed by 2LT SAMUEL BUGAYONG, “A” COY Cmdr,306 (Z) RRIBn, CDC, 3RCDG the activity commenced at the Headquarters located in Apitong St. Old Cabalan, Olongapo City.
The Group Commander in his speech, emphasized the noble mission as stated in REPUBLIC ACT 7077 (AFP Reservist Act of 1991) ARTICLE III, section 7, referred thereof as Reserve Force, providing the base for the expansion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in the event of war, invasion, or rebellion; to assist in relief and rescue during disaster or calamities; to assist in socioeconomic development; and to assist in the operation and maintenance of essential government or private utilities in the furtherance of the overall mission”
The Citizen Reserve Force is consists of a specialized and skill-rich force that will provide the country with a reservoir of various trained and able-bodied professionals for deployment in times of national emergency. The diverse demographic of their community-based security forces will definitely add value in advancing peace, security and safety while strengthening the spirit of malasakit and volunteerism.
