Subic Freeport Security Patrol
The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), along with some Subic Bay Freeport stakeholders in the maritime industry, conducted patrol and surveillance of Subic Bay to foster safe navigation of ships, protect vessels from illegal acts, and promote freedom of navigation.
The patrol and surveillance operations were conducted by the SBMA Law Enforcement Department along with the Harbor Patrol, PNP-Maritime Region 3, Philippine Coast Guard, as well as volunteers from the PCGA 111th Squadron, SSTI Port Facility, SBITC-NCT Port Facility, PPC Port Facility, Leyte Port Facility, Nabasan Port Facility, Marine Terminal Port Facility, and Philippine Coastal Storage & Pipeline Corp.
The Shipboarding and Maritime Safety Branch of the SBMA Seaport Department, headed by Diego P. Aviles, spearheaded the seaborne patrol operations within the vicinity of the Port of Subic.
