PUSIT FESTIVAL. A small fishing village that used to host a US Naval Communication Station until some 26 years ago, San Miguel in San Antonio, Zambales attracts both local and foreign visitors with their annual Pusit Festival. This year’s Pusit Festival, the 3rd, was another hit, villagers and guests, taking advantage of the seasonal bountiful harvests of squid, competed in cooking contests using squid as the main ingredient. In the months of April and May, San Miguel fisherfolks supply squid to nearby provinces and regions, including Metro-Manila. Festival chair for this year was village official Reynaldo Agasa.
