Series of soccer clinics for Filipino students
The U.S. Embassy, in partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission hosted a series of soccer clinics for more than a hundred elementary and high school students from the Smokey Mountain Football Club and other parts of Metro Manila. Led by American soccer coach Johnny Collins, the participants learned skills like dribbling, passing, receiving, ball control, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Soccer is the second largest youth sport in the U.S., after basketball.
