SBMA’s Carlos Andres Wins National Photo Contest

My Happiness is seeing the smiles on child's faces such as this and knowing that you were the one who put them there. This is Erol Liwanag an aeta kid from Pastolan Village in Hermosa Bataan. During our outreach progeram we were able to serve 150 Aeta school children and 200 Aeta families from Sitio Pastolan . Access on food is also a problem since the community is very far from the town proper. I took that moment and document it, I felt so good about the photo and i was very happy. - Carlos Andres

One lucky Happiest Pinoy Facebook fan just won a Samsung Galaxy tab and an invite to the country’s happiest event yet – the awarding of the Nationwide Search for the Happiest Pinoy 2012.

Carlos Andres, whose photo entry featured a photo of an Aeta boy, was chosen among the many entries to the contest. Runner-ups were Joel Sombrito, Ferdinand Angeles, Mark Anthony Estocado, Ace Mark Ramos, Marissa Estocado, Mark Joseph Cabangon Sy, Poler Lira, and Joseph Curada.

They will be receiving P2, 000 worth of SM gift certificates and an invite to the awards night.

Conceptualized in 2009, the Search aims to rekindle the Filipino’s innate values of optimism, resilience, and hope amidst ongoing worldwide crises.

Ten finalists will be named in the awarding in September where one will be chosen as the Happiest Pinoy for 2012.

The Search was started by Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Services, which is managed by PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies (PJLGC) led by Ambassador Philippe Jones Lhuillier.

PJLGC is the umbrella company of the country’s leading pawnshop, Cebuana Lhuillier Pawnshop.
