Filipinos At the First Ever EducationUSA Fair

U.S. Ambassador Philip S. Goldberg opened the first ever EducationUSA Fair in the Philippines on February 16, 2016 at the Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza. The fair was attended by over 1,500 Filipino students, parents, teachers, and general public who were interested to learn about the opportunities and programs offered to study in the U.S.

More than 20 U.S. colleges and universities provided useful information to the attendees about the courses their schools offer. The U.S. Embassy’s American Space, EducationUSA and Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) teams were also present to offer the participants free resource tools to help them on their journey to study in the U.S.

Several free program sessions were also held during the fair where participants learned of the free services offered by EducationUSA Philippines, the requirements needed to study in the U.S., tips on how to finance U.S. education and guidelines when applying for a student visa. (USEmbassy/Manila)
