Malacañang Names Randy Escolango As SBMA OIC Administrator

Malacañang has designated lawyer Randy B. Escolango as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Office of the Administrator, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
In a memorandum by the Office of the President dated 19 October 2016 and received today at SBMA, Executive Secretary Salvador C. Medialdea said Escolango’s designaton is “In the exigency of service and to ensure uninterrupted delivery of public service.”
Escolango told Subic Bay News he is honored by the trust accorded him by the Office of the President and, therefore, “will work hand-in-hand with all concerned, including SBMA Chairman Martin Diño” to keep the Subic Bay Freeport moving forward in accordance with the vision of President Rodrigo R. Duterte.
Escolango has been SBMA Deputy Administrator (DA) for Legal Affairs for some six (6) years and has been instrumental in SBMA’s turn-around from a bleeding agency into a billion peso revenue earner and contributor to the government coffers, aside from generating jobs of over 100k in recent years.
In his first official act as OIC Administrator, Escolango issued this afternoon Office Order no. 2016-10-001, Series of 2016, directing all SBMA offices to course through his office “all official transactions, papers, correspondence, documents, requests and other due processes requiring the signature and/or review… effective immediately.”
