SEARCH FOR BB. OLONGAPO 2012 IS ON
Fifteen (15) of Twenty-nine (29) candidates made it to the 2012 search for Bb. Olongapo.
Among the flock of beauties who will compete for the much coveted title are Jayde-Ann Gillan, Keith Santiago, Norielle Gerardyn Nachor, Charlene Mae Barazon, Juliet Anna Villaflor, Rose Ann Cañeda, Mharyel Tapia, Cristine Racel, Michelle Maguicay, Kyra Olaes, Claudia Beatriz Baldo, Jaminna Babar, Rodalyn Agsaulio, Chenny Faye Hernaez and Ana Lira Mae Austria.
“The search for Bb. Olongapo will not only look for the finest maiden but will also consider the charm, wit, talent and intelligence of the contenders,” said City Tourism Officer Lei Montoya.
“All of the candidates are beautiful and talented. They embody the elegance and dignity of a true Olongapeña. For me, they are all winners,” said Olongapo First Lady and SBMA Director Anne Marie Gordon, a known advocate of women and youth welfare.
Launched in 2008, the BB. Olongapo pageant has become the stepladder and training ground for aspiring beauty titlists in the city.
It can be recalled that 2012 Bb. Pilipinas candidate Angelee Claudett delos Reyes wore the first Bb. Olongapo crown and bagged the Miss Bikini Philippines title after her feat in the city. Delos Reyes also represented the country in the Miss Bikini International pageant in China last year.
On the other hand, 2009 Bb. Olongapo Joana Rose Turner qualified in the equally prestigious Miss Philippines Earth 2010 and made it to the pageant’s top 15 finalists.
