Thai Navy Warships in Manila

Three warships from the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) arrived in the country recently for a goodwill visit..

Her Thai Majesty’s Ship (HTMS) KRABURI skippered by CAPT CHAKSAWAT SAIWONG RTN, HTMS BANGPAKONG skippered by CAPT WARUN WEERAKUL RTN and HTMS PATTANI skippered by CDR WAIPOJ WERAPRASERTSAK RTN arrived with midshipmen from Royal Thai Naval Cadet (RTNC) Training, RTN onboard.

The visit is part of the training voyage that will provide the midshipmen the necessary knowledge, skills and hands-on experience before they become

commissioned in the RTN.

In connection with the visit, Commander RTNC and the Commanding Officers of the RTN vessels will be visiting the Headquarters Philippine Navy for an office call to the Navy Chief, Vice Adm. Jesus C Millan.

The visit will also include activities such as goodwill games, city and cultural tour and ship tour to promote camaraderie and friendship between the PN and RTN.

One of the highlights of their visit is the PN Hosted Reception in honor of the RTN vessels and the cadets to be attended by 30 PN Officers which will serve as an avenue for the participants to interact with their counterparts.

Said visit is expected to enhance the already strong relationship between the Philippine Navy and the Royal Thai Navy.
