The Schools Division of Olongapo City Advocates Tree Planting Activity

OLONGAPO CITY – The Schools Division of Olongapo City participated in the simultaneous Tree-Planting Activity to support the City’s advocacy in Making Riverth Possible. The Local Government Unit – Public Affairs Office initiated this annual event that intends to engage students, employees, and residents in this productive activity. The said green activity was widely disseminated through Division Memorandum No. 355 s.2024.
The fun and interactive volunteer-based initiative to promote the significance of disaster resilience in adapting and recovering from the effects of hazards and disaster through effective risk management as expressed in the said memorandum. Furthermore, the project offers students a special educational opportunity to actively engage in tree-planting activities in order to develop deep awareness and respect of the environmental concerns to support the preservation of forests. This simultaneous Tree Planting Activity mandated by DepEd Memorandum No. 355 s.2024 enjoined all public schools in Olongapo City to participate on the September 14, 2024 at 7:00 a.m. (by Andrea Jedy Miguel-Baluyot)
