“Shore it Up!” International Coastal Clean-up

The Lighthouse Marina Resort,  in cooperation with the Ocean Conservancy, ICC Philippines, Subic “Shore It Up!”, “Clean Up The World”, and in partnership with Metro Pacific Investments Corp. Foundation (MPFIC), and along with more than half a million people across the globe, will unite under one common purpose.

This will be on September 15, 2012 starting 6am, from the boardwalk to The Lighthouse Marina Resort, and Mabayuhan Olongapo, under the Rotary Club of Subic Bay.

All year long, organizations and individuals take part in Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup to remove trash and debris from the world’s beaches and waterways. In 2011, more than 6,000 volunteers including families, organizations from both private and corporate sectors participated in the International Coastal Cleanup in Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

The volunteers donated their time to remove more than 6,952 kilograms of debris from approximately 2 kilometers of the Subic Bay shorelines.
