Ad Summit Pilipinas 2014 in Subic

The advertising industry of the Philippines is undoubtedly seeking to play a more valuable role in society today. Brands are taking on more relevant causes, suppliers are unearthing better paths to bring ideas to life, and agencies are keener on crafting work that impacts lives more significantly. This year, a mind-opening event is about to transpire.
Members of the countryβs advertising and marketing industry are set to enter an βAge of Enlightenmentβ via the much-awaited Ad Summit .Pilipinas 2014, unveiled today at KPub BBQ restaurant in Bonifacio Global City.
Organized by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4Aβs), the summit will gather advertising and marketing practitioners in the country, with the aim of empowering them to move with the times while breaking free from the norm in paving the way for new creative solutions. The summit will take place from May 7 to 11 at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center.
Of this, Ad Summit Chair Matec Villanueva said, βCreativity is relative. We all have different interpretations of what is βcool,β what is βin,β and what will or wonβt hit the target, because we adhere to different ideologies and creative philosophies.β
βWith the Ad Summit, we aim to bridge that gap and become the melting pot of the industryβs sharpest thought leaders and future innovators. Besides, we all share the same end goal: to produce masterpieces,β she added.
To achieve this, Villanueva revealed that the summit would be bringing in βrock starβ speakers, global luminaries who are iconic, brilliant, and whose work transcends national boundaries. βWe are rolling the red carpet for the finest.β
Another element of the Ad Summit to look forward to is the staging of the βKidlat Awardsβ of the Creative Guild of the Philippines, intended to institutionalize βKidlatβ as the countryβs most prestigious creative advertising competition.
Currently, the 4Aβs is focusing on creating intelligent programming and effective event management to ensure high-level understanding and participation of attendees throughout the convention duration.
βWe are bent not to overload programs so attendees can manage their time well and register 100% attendance in every session,β Villanueva said.
