PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT FROM SM
Kids had an opportunity to experience the newly installed playground equipment and exercise machines for adults in Marikit Park which was recently donated by SM Olongapo for the benefit of the residents of Olongapo and the public in general.
As they say, “life is more fun when you play” and this is true to most kids. Nothing compares to the simple pleasure of a see saw ride. Aside from the equipment, part of the donation was the amount for the beautification and maintenance of the Park, Mayor Rolen C. Paulino said.
The donation is part of SM Olongapo’s assistance in the pursuit of the realization of the SM Cares program’s initiative that benefit the community – particularly the children.
Mayor Paulino, along with City Councilors Edna Elane, Ellen Dabu, Linus Bacay and Dr. Eduardo Guerrero received the equipment for the city.
Witness to the turn-over included Office of Senior Citizen’s Affairs head Beth Diaz, City Social Welfare and Development Office head Jun Pascua, City Museum head Gregorio Elane and the Mutya ng Olongapo 2015 winners.
SM Officials in the turn-over were led by led by Engr. Bong Garcia and HR Manager Rodora Lo.
In his message, Mayor Paulino appealed to all to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the park so that future generations can still enjoy the use of the park and the playground equipment as well. (PR-SMOL)
