Anti-illegal drug campaign: 13,680 surrender in Central Luzon

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Around 13,680 alleged users and pushers in Central Luzon have so far surrender to authorities under the intensified anti-illegal drug campaign “Double Barrel.”

“They have submitted themselves voluntarily to police authorities and local chief executives and vowed to stop using and selling illegal drugs,” Police Acting Regional Director PCSupt. Aaron Aquino said.

Moreover, 445 persons were arrested and 49 killed in actual anti-drug operations.
Also confiscated during these operations include 369 sachets weighing 193.89 grams of shabu and marijuana weighing 27.17 grams, 13 high powered firearms, 46 low powered firearms, 1 hand grenade, 340 ammunition, and 3 magazines.

“We will keep on conducting operations against personalities and syndicates as we are serious in eradicating illegal drugs in the region,” Aquino stressed. (PIA 3)
