U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Philip S. Goldberg led the oath-taking ceremony of new American Peace Corps volunteers at the U.S. Embassy last month. Peace Corps volunteers work side-by-side with Filipinos to help build better lives in their host communities. More than 8,000 Americans have served as Peace Corps volunteers in the Philippines since 1961. The Philippines has the second oldest Peace Corps program in the world.
