Duterte Revokes EO340, Eisma is now SBMA Chairman & Administrator
PRESIDENT Rodrigo R. Duterte has revoked Executive Order (EO) 340 that separated the positions of Board Chairman & Administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
“The president shall appoint the Administrator of the SBMA, who shall be the ex-officio Chairman of the SBMA Board,” Duterte said in EO 42 that restored the original set-up of the SBMA management as contained in Republic Act 7227, the law that created the SBMA and Subic Bay Freeport when the US Naval Base in Subic shut down in 1992.

Duterte signed EO 42 yesterday to “take effect immediately.”
SBMA has already sent out invites this afternoon for a “thanksgiving mass” at 5pm today at SBMA’s Admin Bldg. 229 for Wilma T. Eisma’s assumption of both positions of Administrator and ex-officio Chairman of the Board of Directors of SBMA. (VVV)
