Casa San Miguel Pundaquit Virtuosi tours Europe


The Pundaquit Virtuosi of Casa San Miguel is currentlly on a European tour.
Led by internartionally recognized Violinist Alfonso “Coke” Bolipata, the string orchestra group count among its members children from families of fishermen and farmers from local communities of Zambales, Pampanga and Bataan.
ccordiong to Boli[ata, he started teaching 12 kids under a tree, thus, he is proud to present the skills of Pundaquit to their European audiences and shared his advocacy in using music education as an instrument to aid Zambales locals cope with their daily struggles.
The Pundaquit Virtuosi performed their second recital in the garden of the Philippine Embassy in Brussels before the members of the Filipino community, some of whom were emotional to the group’s production.
Brussels-based Filipino pianist Michael L. Cu was also present during the concert and imparted his unique experiences as a Filipino musician studying in a European territory.
The pride of Zambales will visit eight (8) european countries.
