OIL SPILL IN SUBIC BAY (Subic Bay News exclusive!)

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and Philippine  Coast Guard officials have a lot of explaining to do for keeping a possible oil spill at Subic Bay secret from higher authorities and the general public.
The suspected oil spill was accidentally spotted and photographed (pls. see photos below) on Saturday, September 1, 2012 by local photographer Gershom Pertacorta  aboard a light plane.
Pertacorta told Subic Bay News that he was on a contract for an aeral photo shoot of Subic Bay when he saw the oil spill and he just clicked away.
Local residents and environmental advocates appear to have no clue of the oil spill yet, the damage inflicted on the bay and marine life of which have yet to be ascertained but feared to be enormous. (Vic V. Vizcocho, Jr./Subic Bay News)
