Gov. Ebdane swears in 1,840 Brgy. Officials
IBA, Zambales — Winners in the synchronized barangay elections on October 28 took their oath of office here on Tuesday (November 26) before Zambales Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. , pledging to do their duties and work for the welfare of their communities.
A total of 1,840 barangay captains and councilors from the 230 barangays in Zambales participated in the mass oathtaking that was supervised by Department of Interior and Local Government provincial director Armi Bactad.
The event was also attended by Rep. Jeffrey Khonghun of the First District of Zambales, Vice Governor Ramon Lacbain II, and the mayors of the 13 municipalities of Zambales.
In his message, Gov. Ebdane called on the new officials to be strong foundations of their communities and enjoined them to lead their respective communities with trust, friendship, and concern for the common good.
“There is no problem that cannot be overcome, no conflict that cannot be resolved, and no goal that cannot be achieved when we work together,” Ebdane said.
At the same time, Ebdane committed himself to the improvement of the local communities and urged barangay officials to stand united with his administration for the development of Zambales.
“Let us all together work for your dreams and plans. Let us all together produce for our needs and wants. Let us all together stand up against problems and tribulations,” Ebdane said.
The governor also reminded them of their important role in the march of the provincial government towards the upliftment of Zambales and the Zambaleños.
