BASE WORKERS’ MARKER

HONORING THE BASE WORKERS. Ernie Tawatao, co-chair of the executive committee of the 2014 Grand Reunion of former employees of US Naval Base, Subic Bay made a presentation to the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Board of Directors for the construction of a commemorative marker in an open space along Dewey Avenue, fronting the former base’s Lowry Hall Theatre. The SBMA board led by Chairman Roberto V. Garcia unanimously approved the project in honor of the former base employees.
