BFP Central Luzon to recruit 152 new fire fighters

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) recently opened its recruitment process to fill up the 152 new Fire Officer I (FO1) vacancies in Central Luzon.

BFP Regional Director Aloveel Ferrer said these are needed to address the growing demands for fire fighters due to the acquisition of 468 new fire trucks and other fire suppression vehicles.

It is open to all Filipino citizens aged 21-30 years old who are holders of a bachelor’s degree, board passer or Civil Service Commission (CSC) 2nd level eligible, and has a height of at least 1.57 meters for females and 1.62 meters for males.

“Aside from these, we will prioritize applicants who are licensed drivers and are skilled in driving trucks as part of the merit and fitness procedures being adopted for this particular recruitment process,” Ferrer added.

BFP coordinated with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority to assess the competency of applicants in driving at NC III Level.

Those who are interested and qualified are enjoined to submit the following to the Administrative Division of BFP Regional Office on or before May 4: fully accomplished Personal Data Sheet (CSC Form 212) with recent 2×2 ID photo, photocopy of unexpired Professional Regulatory Commission license or authenticated CSC Certificate of Eligibility, transcript of records duly authenticated by the school registrar, original Philippine Statistics Authority copy of birth certificate, and police and National Bureau of Investigation clearances.

For married female applicants, an original Philippine Statistics Authority copy of marriage certificate is also required for submission.

Dates of assessment are tentatively set on April 8, 16, 23 and 30; and on May 8 with 10 to 15 applicants per session.(PIA 3)
