PH Navy lady officer found dead

A lady officer of the Philippine Navy (PN) Marines was found dead inside her car in a parking lot of the Naval Station Jose Francisco, Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City,

According to the statement released by the PN, the lifeless body of  1Lt Shelina S. Calumay PN(M), 33 years old, of  Batac, Ilocos Norte, a member of Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) Class 13, was discovered with a gunshot wound on her face on Wednesday morning.

Investigation  is still on-going under close coordination between the Navy and PNP.

The PN has also formed a Board of Investigators headed by The Naval Provost Marshal (TNPM) to have a parallel investigation to complement the efforts of the PNP, in line with the Navy’s support for the speedy resolution of the case.

The Philippine Navy has extended its condolences and deepest sympathy to her husband, Sgt. Jeremy Calumay, who is also a Marine and her baby and all her loved ones.
