STATESWOMAN. Former Philippines Senator Helena Z. Benitez (seated) was at Olongapo City and the Subic Bay Freeport recently, visiting close relatives SBMA director Bienvenido Benitez (R) and Dr. Miriam Palma, Ph.D. (L). SBMA Business & Investments head Atty. Joy Alvarado (2nd frm. R) and Subic Bay News publisher Vic V. Vizcocho, Jr. (2nd frm L) were invited to join them for breakfast at Segara Suites. As a legislator, the 100-year-old Benitez sought for the protection of the environment, and the Philippine Eagle, also known as Haribon. Sen. Benitez was a seatmate at the senate of the late Sen.
